What Jesus Says About the Devil
What, and where, is the devil? How does he work? How can we be rid of him? These are very vital questions which few can answer. Can you? Jesus knew the answers: his Father, all-knowing Mind, gave them to him.
The Pharisees were plotting to kill him. He knew this and that it was the devilish evil mind that was suggesting murderous thoughts to them. Said he: "Ye [your thoughts] are of your father the devil, and the lusts [desires] of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him." John 8:44;
In effect, Jesus was saying, "You are accepting as the fathering source of your thoughts the evil mind—the belief in a personal intelligence separate from God—which evolves its material concept of man and his thoughts, soon to murder him with its destructive forces." Make and murder is always the devil's pattern.
