Self-righteousness and Matter

How do you feel when someone disagrees with you? Does it disturb you seriously? If so, why?

We all seem to have to face this problem. Even if the point of disagreement is unimportant, the fact of someone's not seeing a thing our way seems to irk. We want to be right.

What is the force behind this want? It is the force that constitutes matter.
