New Radio Program

Radio today is giving us evidence of mankind's evolving desires. The pretty, prearranged program is yielding to the for-real, face-to-face conversation. Listeners want to hear what people really think. They want to hear it from the people who talk, without writers or editors. They want to hear it like it is, not like someone or some group wants them to think it is. In other words, they want the truth.

On Sunday, January 3, a new radio series entitled "The Truth That Heals" will be heard over radio stations in North America. This program, presented by The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, responds to the desire for truthful presentation by means of recorded conversations. They are real conversations with real people who tell of events in their own lives and of their thoughts and feelings as the events took place. What commentary there is comes naturally as part of the conversations.

Each of these new programs brings to its listeners a healing message. But the message is delivered in a Christlike way. That is, the truth of God and man, which is far above mortal vision, is expressed in terms the human being desiring truth can understand. This was what Christ Jesus did in his time. He came where the people were, and he met their needs then and there.
