Why Join a Branch Church?
[For young adults]
All too frequently the demands of raising a family, pursuing a career, and having an active social life deter young people from joining a branch Church of Christ, Scientist. Or they may feel that the church organization is too stultifying and that there won't be enough opportunity to serve in meaningful ways.
Those young people who don't heed these arguments that would hinder their individual progress find that church membership not only can be fun but that it is the most vital means of lightening the burdens of daily life.
The active church member watches his career advance in an orderly, rewarding way because through church work he sees that God alone governs and unfolds the way for His beloved child. The homemaker learns in church work that God is the only source— that God cares for all His children and gives them peace and protection.
