"Blessed are they which do...
"Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled" (Matt. 5:6). When I became interested in Christian Science, it was not with the thought of receiving physical healing, even though I had some physical difficulties, but because I was seeking peace of mind and a greater understanding of man's coexistence with God.
At this time I had a large lump on my wrist. It first appeared when I was a young woman, and I had it removed. However, the doctor told me it would come back, and in a short time it did.
After studying Christian Science and seeing the unreality of this condition, knowing that it could be no part of God's spiritual idea, man, I denied it any presence or power. I held to this sentence in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (p. 463): "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive." In a short time the lump vanished. About the same time, I was healed of constipation of many years' standing and also of arthritis in my hands.
