Those
who have followed the history of The Christian Science Monitor cannot fail to be impressed by its remarkable mission and purpose for mankind.
"Thou
hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things.
When
one hears the words "divine service," his thoughts may turn to the religious exercises performed in a church.
"That
day" is frequently mentioned in the Bible, in both the Old and New Testaments.
The
purpose of Christian Science is to extend to humanity a knowledge of Truth, God, and to reveal the practical application of the truth in meeting the needs of men.
Men
may not be more curious and inquisitive now than they used to be, but they have greater opportunity to indulge their curiosity and extend their inquisitiveness.

Officers of branch churches and individuals who have occasion to correspond with The Christian Science Board of Directors, with the Clerk and the Treasurer of The Mother Church, and with the heads of departments of The Mother Church Offices are requested always to place their addresses on their letters and to write their signatures plainly.
A directory of all Churches of Christ, Scientist, and Christian Science Societies, including the hours of their services and information about their Reading Rooms, appears monthly in The Christian Science Journal.

SPEAKER: Many people today wonder what is really required of them when they pray.
[This is the second of three addresses and a panel discussion given at the meeting in the Extension of The Mother Church on June 8, 1960.
I have
been a student of Christian Science for about thirty years, during which time I have experienced many healings, and I am very grateful for them.
My
first healing in Christian Science was that of an annoying case of eczema, which was on my hands and from which I had suffered for some time.
Ten
years ago, before I became a student of Christian Science, a small growth appeared on my body, and I became fearful over this condition.
I first
heard of Christian Science through a very dear aunt.
Christian Science
, being preventive as well as curative, has been a wonderful protection to me during adolescence, in the business world, and now in having the privilege of being a home-maker and helping to guide our two young children in the pathway of Science.
For over thirty years I smoked from two to three packages of cigarettes a day; I endeavored many times to give up the habit, but always without success.
