Christian Science has been a great help to me in many situations. It found me far on the wrong side of the fence, and led me to a life of health, happiness, and peace. A professional pugilist, contaminated by the trimmings that are believed to be associated with that profession, I was changed by Christian Science and brought back to the fold of right endeavor. Employed in the progressive business of construction, and preparing to serve mankind more assiduously by attending college—in fact, two colleges—in the evening, I feel the joy and peace that come with this more constructive life. Too manifold have been my blessings in the new business connection and at school for me to be able to relate them in a few words.
To me Christian Science has proved its efficacy as a healing agent. Many discordant physical conditions have been overcome, among them "athletic hand," grippe, pleurisy; and there have been instantaneous healings of torn tendons in an ankle, injured back, and hernia. The last healing is one for which I feel the most gratitude. Advised by three doctors to undergo an operation, I applied to a Christian Science practitioner for help and was healed at once. This was revealed the following day when a doctor made an examination, owing to an accident which was believed to have caused the hernia.
For all the benefits I have gained in Christian Science words are inadequate to express my thanks. I am grateful to God for Mrs. Eddy, and for the practitioner who has helped me.—
