I am unspeakably grateful for the many blessings received through the study of Christian Science. It would be difficult to tell of all the benefits I have received, but I feel it right to give my testimony, hoping it may help some one.

I was wounded in 1915, when I received a bad puncture in the carotid artery. After a time I was moved to England, a surgical operation was performed, and the artery was tied, greatly retarding circulation on one side of the head. I drifted from one hospital to another, feeling very weak and wondering how I should get a living when I was released from the army. The doctors did not give me much encouragement, but told me I would have to be careful, and not undergo either mental or physical strain. In 1916 I was discharged as "totally disabled." Then followed a long period of sore trial: I was seldom free from headache; I tried to study shorthand and bookkeeping, but had to give it up and go away for a rest.
