Christian Science has opened for me the door to a spiritual understanding of Life, Truth, and Love. I had no church, no God, so no peace. No amount of materiality, or the seeking of happiness in what the world offers in the way of pleasures, can satisfy the hunger which human consciousness experiences. We try to satisfy this yearning, which we do not recognize as a longing for Truth, with all manner of things which the world offers until, as often occurs, we are divinely driven to seek God. Mrs. Eddy tells us, in her spiritual interpretation of the Lord's Prayer, "God is infinite, all-power, all Life, Truth, Love, over all, and All" (Science and Health, p. 17). This showed me that man is never separate from God. It met my own thought concerning the supreme power as infinite, which I never understood or tried to analyze, thus leaving, me, to sense, without God. Through the study and application of the teachings of Christian Science, I have been healed of severe sick headaches and extreme nervousness. My eyesight suddenly failed to such an extent, that for one week I could not read or study, but through the help of a practitioner this was entirely overcome. I have since read as much as I wished without any discomfort.

Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for the many blessings which have come to me and mine. From discontent I have been lifted into harmony and peace,—that peace "which passeth all understanding." All earnest Christian Scientists have the same gift from God. Can any one wonder that we are filled with an overwhelming sense of gratitude?
