It was through healing that I became interested in Christian Science, but blessings far greater than health came to me when the healer kindly led me out of darkness and broke the dream of unrealities. Life had a new outlook. Only those who have wandered from church to church, seeking that which has never been found, can understand my peace and joy when I first went to a Christian Science service. I can never forget the happiness and rest that I found among those dear Scientists. It was a comfort to me when my boys enjoyed the privilege of attending a Christian Science Sunday School. They now love its teachings and have had many beautiful demonstrations.
We moved away from our old home to a small town in Tennessee. I was alone, seemingly, in Science. It was a quiet place to study Science and Health, and I worked as never before. A few became interested in the Truth and they bought the book and are sowing the seed. Many good demonstrations have been made there.
A friend wrote me a letter asking for treatment for an elderly lady who lived near her. She wrote wrote me, "She has quite a complication of diseases. She has the physician come to see her every other day, as she has what she calls 'a nervous shake.' She takes medicine nearly all the time, and as she says she gets no relief."
