A Victory in California
In the Sentinel of February 21, 1901, we published from the San Francisco Chronicle an account of the defeat of the Medical Bill, introduced into the legislature of California.
We have just received—but too late for our last issue, we regret to say—an account of the history of this bill, and of the work of the Christian Scientists of California in connection with it. This account is forwarded to us by leading Scientists there who participated actively in the opposition to the bill, and we deem it of sufficient interest to the Field at large, and to others who may have similar work on hand, to publish a synopsis of it.
