Well and Happy
Having been sick and unhappy, with no hope of being any better, physically or spirtually, I was induced to consult a Christian Scientist. This I did, telling my woes, and concluded by saying in mournful tones, "I am so weak and so weary." The Scientist replied, "You are a child of God. The Psalmist says God healeth all our diseases. Now turn from these mortal beliefs of sickness and sin, and drink in the Truth. 'Tis Truth that makes us free. Go to the fountain of Life and live forever. Trust in the promises and health and happiness will be won." "How shall I begin?" said I. "Read 'Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures' by Mary Baker G. Eddy, and the way will be plain to you," was the reply. I did so; this advice was as a grain of mustrad seed. Paul said, one may plant and another water, but God alone can give the increase. The seed was sown, God made it grow, and the increase came. Very soon birds of promise began to alight in the branches. The messages came thick and fast. They were, Jesus said, "Follow me." "The God of Jacob is your refuge." "Seek the Lord and His strength, seek His face evermore." Were I to tell all the good messages that are in the branches of my tree, the entire edition of the Sentinel could not contain them. Suffice to say, I am well and I am happy. "O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me." T. B. Beach, New Haven, Conn.
