Discover the Bible Lens from the Christian Science Sentinel

To encourage a greater awareness and appreciation of the Bible, the Christian Science Sentinel has introduced a new series called “Bible Lens.” This new section of the Sentinel focuses on Bible study and the Christian Science Bible Lesson, and includes historical explanations of Bible verses, helpful translations of certain passages, and word studies of Bible terms. You’ll also discover a wide variety of items related to the Bible in general, such as articles, poems, and hymns that bring out its healing message; accounts of people healed through their deep study of the Bible; special features from the Mary Baker Eddy Library; Bible stories and activities for children; and much more.

The Bible Lens is included in each weekly issue of the Sentinel, both in print and as part of a JSH-Online subscription. We invite you to explore a sample issue of the Bible Lens here, pick up a copy of the Sentinel at a local Christian Science Reading Room, or subscribe to JSH-Online to discover new insights and draw new inspiration from your study of the Bible.

In publishing the new Bible Lens, we are reminded of the first tenet of Christian Science: “As adherents of Truth, we take the inspired Word of the Bible as our sufficient guide to eternal Life” (Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 497).
