Many people pray with great humility and a truly listening heart when they’re in trouble or have an important personal decision to make. Would this kind of prayer and politics mix?

A better basis

As we refuse to leave out Spirit, or Love, and trust the palpable goodness of God, we will see spiritually and practically the activity of divine good going on right where we are.
It is the spiritual, incorporeal understanding of God that reveals the truth about both God and God’s creation—each of us—and our purely spiritual nature.
Christian Science teaches the value of looking Spiritward in this way to discern an underlying consistency that is not at the mercy of the ebb and flow of human experience.
Knowing our true, spiritual identity and realizing that we are cherished and known by God in this most precious of ways is what allows us to go forward, gives us hope, and brings healing, often before we see a complete answer.

Seismic shifts

I felt an enlightened sense of the comfort and power of Christ, Truth, with me and available for all humanity.
In divine Life, we have happiness that’s forever pure and secure and requires no ambition to attain it. It’s a quality we forever include and exude as God’s reflection.
Spiritual love opens our thought to God’s guidance and to ideas from God that create a community where everyone is valued as a unique, indispensable, spiritual expression of one universal Father-Mother. This builds a church of such focused love that it supports healing, including physical healing.
We, too, can see none but the perfect and sinless child of God as we stand with Christ, Truth, separate ourselves and others from the material scene, and pray more deeply to understand and insist on everyone’s inseparability from the infinite God, good.

A book that heals

The Bible is the living Word of God, equal to every situation and able to meet the hungering needs of humanity.

Embracing the world’s children

Through prayer we can protect our young people by seeing them, and helping them see themselves, as whole, spiritual children of God, rather than vulnerable, immature mortals subject to danger and harm.

The good news

Jesus knew that the only way to “be not troubled” is to gain a truer idea of life as spiritual and of each of us as children of God rather than mortal men and women.
