In the Christian Science Bible Lesson

After applying for her dream job, this author thought she had her life perfectly mapped out . . . until nothing went the way she expected. Frustrated, she knew she had to find a way to see things differently. But how?

The Story of Jonah

Jonah’s story is all about how God is always with us.

Living in the now

We don’t negate the good we have previously enjoyed, but we can’t let nostalgia color our present with a sense of loss.
There is no force opposed to God or able to put up barriers between right ideas and their manifestation.

Unchanging good

Spiritual understanding, faith, and love are the means by which we anchor ourselves in the midst of what can appear to be the ceaseless variation and uncertainty of so-called mortal existence.

Scorpion sting averted

This experience showed me how important our daily protective prayer is, and that whatever the circumstances, God’s help is always available.

A table in the wilderness

All good is spiritual and comes from God, even when it seems that it is people who are doing the giving.
It is up to each of us individually to strive to see the allness and goodness of God, the only true power in the world. This is the salvation that has been brought to humankind by Christ Jesus.

Grounded in God

As God’s creation, we don’t deteriorate or weaken and cannot lose a single quality of good.

A gift for my community

Under God’s control, which is not optional, man cannot desire to harm himself or others. Rather, the divine Mind impels him to do good to his fellow man.

To love an enemy

Whether facing a global tyrant, a threatening political leader, a domineering boss, or an intimidating family member, the same rule of “Love your enemies” applies, disarming the perceived enemy and rendering them harmless.
