Performing with our divine director

Lights! Camera! Action! God has chosen you (see Isaiah 43:10) to live up to your highest potential, a life overflowing with infinite possibilities and opportunities. You are under contract to serve God, because He has made an everlasting covenant with you (see Jeremiah 32:40). This performance is very special. It is titled “Love’s Divine Adventure” (see Mary Baker Eddy, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 158). In this production you have a major role as a witness to God’s allness and goodness. The script is ever unfolding, because God’s allness is ever unfolding.

It is written that we are all “builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit” (Ephesians 2:22). In other words, we are part of the same cast; our lives are all interconnected. Our support, social, and professional network is spiritual and eternally established. This network is a unifying source of purposeful activity, and it guarantees our productivity and progress.

Each individual is valued for his or her unique contribution. All the cast members have a star on their dressing room door. Spirit is the architect of the set and stage, and the originator of all the characters. God’s plan ensures the harmony of every detail of this production. The producer, God, has commanded that we all make a joyful noise (see Psalms 66:1), and we do. Our gratitude for His goodness demands our best performance. God is the best casting agent, because “… Soul is never without its representative” (Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 427). When we listen and follow God’s direction, we are acting up to our best ability, living our life to its highest potential, and being a part of divine Love’s grand adventure. Then we are witnesses to God’s glorious creation and enjoy a life lived fearlessly, gloriously, and adventurously. Applause!
