Nothing is hidden...not even a passport!

Recently, I had an experience which had an amazing impact on my family.

The subject of a recent Christian Science Bible Lesson was “Everlasting Punishment.” I studied this lesson thoroughly, to search for the deeper meaning of the words and for what I could glean from the topic. The Golden Text for this lesson was “The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms” (Deuteronomy 33:27).

The first time I read that verse, it became clear to me that the only thing that was everlasting was the “everlasting arms.” After this quick conclusion, I delved into the Responsive Reading and found that the “arms” mentioned in this passage meant everlasting love and mercy, and that we were indeed “ransomed,” set free from a belief in everlasting punishment. This wonderful section ended on such a high note, “His truth endureth to all generations” (Psalms 100:5), and so is applicable to all ages.
