Eye on the World: Valentine's Day
Are you planning to celebrate Valentine’s Day? The holiday, focused on love and relationships, will be observed in many countries around the world this week. Some people choose to celebrate Valentine’s Day by sending cards and flowers to a spouse or significant other; others celebrate simply by letting family and friends know how cherished they are.
Valentine’s Day is a wonderful time to reflect on what love really means, and to think more deeply about how the love in our lives reflects God, who is Love itself. Divine Love cares unconditionally for every part of creation.
“Caught up in Love” is a good place to start. The author explores how God pours out His love to each of us, and how cherishing this spiritual fact allows us to be “importunate” — insistent — about seeing this love expressed in companionship and support in our lives.
