It was many years ago that I became interested in Christian Science. The owner of the place where I worked was a student of this Science. As there was some free time, I was informed I might read the Sentinel and The Christian Science Monitor, which came there. After reading them for some time, I was invited to attend a branch Church of Christ, Scientist. Later I started reading the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly.

During the years there have been many healings, several of which have come by my own efforts. When a severe pain in my left arm and shoulder rendered the arm almost useless a practitioner was called for help. An attack of pain came each night, and each one was more intense than the previous one. One night I felt that the last enemy was at the door. The practitioner was informed of the condition and the attack ceased. In a few days the healing was complete.

At another time the palms of my hands broke out with a rash which gave me a great deal of trouble. A practitioner was asked for help. For several days there was no change. One day the practitioner warned me against thinking irritated thoughts. Immediately I knew what was the trouble. I had allowed myself to feel resentful when a dear one was criticized. When I corrected my thought the criticism stopped, and the rash disappeared.
