I wish to express my deep gratitude to God for Mrs. Eddy, our beloved Leader, who gave to the world the Science which meets our every need.

Forty-eight years ago my mother was healed of heart trouble through Christian Science; and I was healed of inflammation of the eyes, which had kept me confined to a darkened room for weeks each spring. Through the years since then the understanding of Truth has protected, healed, and comforted me. I have been healed of goiter, fallen arches, and gallstones. Understanding in some measure the all-ness and goodness of God and the perfection of His creation has helped me to solve many problems. In Science and Health Mrs. Eddy says (p. 66), "Trials are proofs of God's care." I have found this to be true, for with every difficulty conquered I have gained more courage and more understanding of the perfect spiritual creation.

When I suffered a broken rib Mrs. Eddy's words in "the scientific statement of being" (ibid., p. 468), "All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all," helped me. I called a practitioner, and her statements of Truth will always remain with me. She said: "As we realize that Spirit is the only substance, we no longer listen to mortal mind; then the outward evidence changes. You are made up of spiritual ideas; you are the embodiment of God's ideas or thoughts. That is your identity— the only you—an individual spiritual consciousness. Can God's idea be separated from Him?" I was able to do all that was necessary each day and was completely healed in about three weeks.
