Christianity then—and now

We often think about the history of the Bible and Christianity as an orderly process, where ideas were written down or reasonably discussed and preserved in a pristine state.
During my college years I looked at holidays a bit like Harry Potter.
For many of us in the United States, the Thanksgiving holiday brings memories of good times with family and friends, and often a traditional turkey gracing the festive dinner table.
One day at my high school in Minnetonka, Minnesota, school authorities found out that drug dealers who had threatened the school with guns, had snuck into the building, threatening students and demanding money from them.
