One voice

God speaks to us
in times of calm
or when life’s turmoils make nights long.
His voice is heard
in thought and deed
and is right there in time of need.

So when I speak
I pray to know
God’s Word is heard—not mine alone.
And when another talks to me,
I strive to listen
past the words
to hear Truth’s message ringing clear
that shows God’s presence always here.

God speaks to us
from day to day
through inner voice and outward sign,
which lead us in Love’s grand design.
And those who listen
hear His voice
and will, with certainty, rejoice.
