No time to pray?
It was only 9:00 a.m. and my prayer to-do list was getting out of control. I was concerned about several news headlines. One of my friends was struggling. And there were things in my own life, too, that needed to be approached from a more spiritual perspective. As the day wore on and more problems piled up, it seemed like there was no way I was going to be able to pray about everything. Who has that kind of time?
Maybe you’ve dealt with this feeling, too—this sense that to tackle the really big things (and perhaps even the smaller things), we need to have hours and hours to do some serious praying. That can feel overwhelming and lead to procrastination … or sometimes (real talk) to just not praying at all.
Recently, though, I’ve discovered something really cool. It actually doesn’t have to take time to change the way you’re thinking about something. It only takes a moment!
