The Awakening

O, little drop of dew,Thy face is radiant.

The Call

Eyes with love so full and tenderSaid to us, "I know you all,You are God's own blessed childrenHearken to my loving call.

My Prayer

Teach me, O God, to see and knowThe light the Christ has shedUpon our path, to walk in love,The way our Master led.

My Ambition

O, were it mine to sing a songWhose sweetness, at my feet should holdThe spell-bound thousands, all untold,—I'd rather far it were my partWith comfort e'en one life to fold,—Bind up one broken heart.

"In Time of War and Tumult."

I sought to eat life's bread—and lo!The loaf turned to a stone.

Simple Trust

No picture to my aid I call,I shape no image in my prayer;I only know in Him is allOf life, light, beauty, everywhere.
