O David, with so small a stoneYou brought Goliath low!Oh, may your courage cause us allTo run to meet the foe!To choose our stone, washed pure and smoothFrom any taint of fear—And use our sling, the Truth upheld,And know that God is near!

In Soul's completeness grows no might-have-been,No blighted blossom powered to beginBut not fulfill the loveliness of Love;
