As you start to pray,Christ lights the way;Thus truth is revealed.

The grace of being quiet

Quiet would I be, not as in falling asleep,but as in stillness of a millpond rim to rimfor Truth and Life and Love's reflection clear to keep,thus replacing reaction, vehement, aghast,with harmony of hearing God and holding fastthe active grace of patience, watching, keeping peace.

Father, I ask not to retrace the pathsOf places I have been;I look not to tomorrowFor more truth than is here today,Nor for direction toAvoid the rugged way.

The ark of safeness
