To heal the character of nations

To be in the world and not of it makes great demands on spiritual purpose. Yet this was Christ Jesus' mandate.
A superficial look misses the evidence that is crucial to consider.
Christian healing certainly relates to individual human need. But if there is a divine law that underlies such healing, wouldn't it also apply to a planet in need—our common home?

To live fully

Modern multitudes hunger for freedom and justice. Out of such spiritual hunger comes powerful witness to God and our own true nature as His children.

"The world is moving"

Progress on human rights has been rapid this year. A less visible sort of oppression still needs vigorous spiritual "watching."

The important thing

We seldom may think about the way in which we arrive at certain conclusions. Then something shifts; we see a wholly new way and a wholly different conclusion.
Jesus assured his followers that all good is possible when we turn to God in full confidence that prayer will be answered.
Civilization and human progress demand justice for everyone. But is such an ideal actually possible?
If you were to go along with the impression that life is just as material as it seems, you'd be missing the main thing that makes prayer and healing practical: God is here.
Our lives don't have to hurry past us. There's a way to discover the present goodness God has for everyone and to be at peace right where we are.

No ifs, ands, or buts

We want to know the truth—what the facts are. This feeling doesn't go away, and it shouldn't.

Free indeed

The quest for freedom has made the headlines recently. True freedom is a gift of God; we find it when we glimpse our spiritual selfhood in His likeness.
