Inclined to honesty

God doesn't incline us to dishonesty and then punish us for it. Instead, God causes us to realize our goodness and stop acting in ways that aren't satisfying.
The words weren't new to me, but hearing them read recently at a church service, I really took them in and let them change me: "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty".
