Christian Science stands on its own merits, and its adherents are those who have come, not by persuasion, enticement, or argument in words, but as the result of the demonstration of its teachings, which have brought surcease from pain, suffering, sickness, disease, sorrow, and sin, and have lifted consciousness to a clearer apprehension of the one God and man's unity with Him, susceptible of practicable demonstration and application in daily life.
As Christian Science has once again been adversely criticized in your columns, I shall be glad if you will allow me to make a reply.

CASTING OUT FEAR

Quite recently, a student of Christian Science, in relating to the writer the story of his healing, said that he had been subject for years to attacks of illness which had occasioned an almost overwhelming sense of fear; that he was healed of these in a few treatments, while the fear was overcome instantaneously.
