In the article, "Hypnotic Suggestions," in a recent issue of the Observer, there appears a statement which might lead one to believe that Christian Science is a form of mental suggestion.
The familiar words, "On earth peace, good will toward men," inextricably associated as they unfortunately are generally with holidays, going to church on a week day, Christmas presents, and so forth, have lost much of their force in the course of the years.

the beginner in Christian Science there may seem to be many obstacles, and at times he may feel that it is almost impossible to continue his search for light.
Friendship,
like every other human need, must be demonstrated through the teachings of Christian Science in order that the true sense of it may be gained and so enjoyed permanently.
In
Christian Science we learn that all things material, all that the eye can see, must be counterfeit of the real, for God's creation is spiritual, not visible to mortal sense.
