In the Christian Science Bible Lesson

In the middle of the night, sitting on the floor of her dorm room, this author felt engulfed by a fear of terrorism. But as she prayed, she woke up to the power of spiritually protesting against any evil that would claim to have power, and to standing with God, good.

Worth the repetition

As a lifelong Christian Scientist, this author had heard the phrase “God’s child” more times than she could count. But those two simple words took on new meaning when they came to her rescue—and brought healing.

Tongue-tied? Trust God!

Ever wanted to talk to your friends about Christian Science but felt like you didn’t have the “right” words? Good news. There are lots of different ways to share Christian Science, and some of them don’t require words at all!

Love gets through

When the storms in our lives seem overwhelming and we wonder where God, divine Love, is, we can lean on the promise that Love’s messages always get through to us. This author explains how and why.
I was invigorated by knowing that, despite being exposed to strenuous activity, I didn’t need to incur a penalty.
Few scriptural verses so beautifully enunciate the omnipresence, omniscience, and omnipotence of God as those of Psalm 139.
“Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer”.
Jesus proved that divine Love is boundless good.
The Christ, Truth, was at work motivating me to challenge my attitude.

What do we hunger for?

Christ, Truth, truly nourishes and satisfies.

My innocence was intact

During a study abroad, this author was enjoying an evening of practicing her new language with the locals when she was caught off-guard by one man's inappropriate advances. Prayer not only healed her of the aftereffects of the incident, but it also gave her a deeper understanding of each individual's spiritual innocence.
