Who
has not at some time in his experience met a situation which was so involved and uncompromising that the only way out seemed to be retreat; a situation in which even a normally philosophical outlook had failed and to which there appeared to be no solution?
As
we contemplate Christ Jesus' works, which included healing people with both acute and chronic diseases, feeding a multitude with but a few loaves and fishes, stilling a tempest at sea, raising the dead, and restoring his own body to life, we might ask how it would be possible to do any greater works.
Church
work, if faithfully performed, demands our putting God first in the execution of each assignment and ensures our meriting the words in a parable of Christ Jesus, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant".
