In the Christian Science Bible Lesson

The past year has been an especially challenging one for business owners, as I know firsthand.
While she was friendly with many of the students at her school, this teen yearned for a friend group of her own. When she began to pray about friendship, she not only ended up finding “her people,” but she got something even more profound: a deeper and more solid understanding of God’s love.

Life­—a continuous cycle of good

No matter what our current circumstances are, or what predictions are made about our lives, we all have the God-given ability to know that we live in the uninterrupted cycle of infinite good, now and forever.
I thought about how God is with me, so nothing bad can get to me.
Fears of being judged or ridiculed by others are overcome by the steady conviction that God is the power behind right ideas and our ability to express them clearly.

Governed by God, not the planets

Are there powers other than God? A recent experience proved to me the importance of knowing the spiritual truth that God alone influences our experience. 
No matter how difficult the circumstances, God’s perfect love takes away fear.
She couldn’t have been working harder on her giant final paper, but that was just the problem. The harder she worked, the more she struggled. Fortunately, she was about to discover a different approach, based on Jesus’ example, that turned the whole project around.

No more toothache

The pain completely disappeared, and it never returned. The teeth remain intact. This experience has strengthened my spiritual understanding.
One thought that occurred to me was how often I felt tempted to eat almost automatically, without thinking, sometimes when I wasn’t even hungry. I realized that my appetite had become like another god to me, controlling my behavior in ways I didn’t like.
