In a recent issue of the Journal the very inconsistent statement was set forth by a local contributor to the effect that a minister in one of the Chickasha churches had characterized Christian Science as "being both unchristian and unscientific," and coupled this with the contributor's conclusion that "there was nothing offensive in his treatment of the subject.
It is an extraordinary fact that gentlemen who usually are quite kindly, cannot approach the subject of Christian Science without parting company with their self-control.

It is quite likely that there were humorists in the time of Christ Jesus who sought to discredit his mission by playing upon the popular sense of humor, but how miserably such efforts failed to hinder the onward march of truth! What, in the light of subsequent events, could be more pitiable than the ridicule of those who, according to the gospel of John, crowned Jesus with thorns, put on him a purple robe, and in mockery hailing him as king of the Jews, "smote him with their hands.

EVIL'S UNREALITY

To understand scientifically the unreality of evil is perhaps the greatest difficulty the beginner has, in the study of Christian Science.
