A correspondent says that the spiritual discernment of Christian Scientists is purely imaginary and arises from egotism.
Christian Science is not a mere philosophy, but a revival of the religious teachings of Jesus the Christ in their original interpretation and demonstration.
In my experience of twenty-one years as a Christian Scientist I have never seen a correct statement of Christian Science emanating from one who thought himself opposed to it.

It seems somewhat difficult to determine just the definition that our critic would give to the word "proselyte" as used in his statement, "The Christian Scientists get their adherents by proselyting, but they never succeed in getting good church-members who are familiar with the Word of God.
An article in The Sun contains a reference to Christian Science which shows that the writer, if he has ever read any authorized Christian Science literature, has failed to grasp its teaching.
A lecture recently delivered in your city was ostensibly upon the subject of Christian Science, but judging by your report the lecturer must have had something else in mind, as it contains no true statement concerning this subject.
