The Reading Room

That our Leader attached much importance to the Christian Science Reading Room as a necessary auxiliary of the church is made plain by Article XXI, Section 1, of the Manual of The Mother Church, which says, "Each church of the Christian Science denomination shall have a Reading Room, though two or more churches may unite in having Reading Rooms, provided these rooms are well located.
Probably many have wondered to what things Paul referred in Philippians when he wrote, "Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
