"One in Christ"

MANY years ago, Mary Baker Eddy sent a message to a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, the closing sentence of which should be a useful guide for our thinking in these days: "Over sea and over land, Christian Science unites its true followers in one Principle, divine Love, that sacred ave and essence of Soul which makes them one in Christ".

Resurrection

GREAT as has been the change in popular thought regarding resurrection and a future life since the coming of Christian Science, with many harsh and unlovely beliefs giving place to more hopeful concepts, nevertheless to many the question of resurrection is still something rather problematical, something more to be hoped for than to be certain about; and consequently the thought of death and the hereafter still holds much of terror and uncertainty.

Signs of the Times

[Samuel Shadwick, in the Free Methodist, as quoted in the Ohio Messenger, Columbus, Ohio]
Your correspondent who signs himself "Practical Psychologist" is evidently not aware that the teachings of Christian Science reinstate the original primitive Christianity as taught and practiced by Christ Jesus.
In a recent issue of the Chronicle, a correspondent referred appreciatively to the "big hold" which Christian Science has on the people of America, and commented upon the number and size of the Christian Science churches in that country.
Christian Science accepts the spiritual record of creation as found in the first chapter of Genesis; it acknowledges God as the only creator, and proves, on the basis of reason and demonstration, the consequent unreality of anything and everything that is unlike Him.
In a recent issue of Der Freidenker, opinions are ascribed to Mary Baker Eddy which are not to be found in any of her writings, and which contradict her teachings.
