Me, we, and them

When the “me” becomes “we” and together we turn outward to “them,” all are blessed, and the mission of our church—to heal the world—is fulfilled.
Life was going to be good if it went exactly as planned … or so this author thought. But when the “perfect” college turned out to be anything but perfect for her, she learned where the good in her life really comes from and the divine guidance she could lean on to find a new way forward.

The idea that God is singing to all of us and that everyone can hear and respond to Love’s song is a versatile and effective prayer. It’s a way to pray about disagreements and conflicts of all kinds.
God isn’t absent and blown in like a cloud to comfort us, but is always present. In God’s presence, erroneous suggestions of any other presence or power besides God are cleared out.
I realized afterward that I had been listening to God the whole time­; the words flowed with ease, and I felt I could answer any question thrown my way.

Lifted up

The pain was intense, yet I wasn’t afraid. In retrospect, I believe this is because I palpably felt the presence of God’s care; there’s no other explanation.

Our ever-present reward

I could strive to see work as a natural outcome of the God-given reward that we each carry with us.

The perfect model

When a dark, dreary, material view of existence is put before us, we have a choice to make: Are we going to hold in thought to a false, limited, material model or “paint” the enlightened, unlimited, spiritual view?
