If we are looking for something real, something that makes a difference in a world that seems lost, we are looking for what the Bible calls "the things of the Spirit."
Christmas began in modesty, wonder, and love. As we see this Christ-spirit still at work in our lives, we have priceless gifts to give to ourselves and others.
Sometimes where we live doesn't feel very much like home. But there is a love that each of us can feel and express wherever we are.
"Who are you spending Christmas with?" people ask. If our answer brings us sadness, we might ask ourselves another question: "Can I ever be separated from God's family?"
It's natural to care deeply about community.
