Normal bodily function restored
Over several days, I increasingly experienced a problem with a bodily function. There seemed to be some obstruction or malfunction.
Needing to overcome the fear that this was a life-threatening condition, I began to pray. I had been learning that healing in Christian Science is not about fixing a physical condition (or a problem of limited finances, personal conflict, loneliness, etc.) but about correcting mistaken thinking regarding who and what we truly are as God’s creation.
Man, the true, spiritual identity of each of us, is not a combination of material, organic machinery and functions. As the image and likeness of God, Spirit, I am spiritual, complete, and composed only of harmonious qualities. We each have a God-given, God-governed life, which He sustains and empowers to fulfill our purpose of glorifying Him.
