Healing and harmony during church
One evening, shortly before leaving home for the testimony meeting at our local branch Church of Christ, Scientist, I suddenly felt unwell and was in pain.
Though moving was uncomfortable, I didn’t want to miss the service. I cherish these weekly testimony meetings—the moments of inspired prayer as well as the precious readings from the Bible and from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, the sweet fellowship, and the encouraging testimonials of healing that are shared. It’s a time in my week that is refreshing and buoying.
Often, those who conduct Christian Science church services begin by welcoming the congregation to “this healing service.” That evening, I decided to wholeheartedly accept and trust the healing nature of the service as inspired and established by God.
