With each Christian Science healing, we learn more about our true identity as an expression of God, Spirit. An experience I had last year is a good example. 

One day a rash appeared on my body. Then I began having internal discomfort and pain, especially at night when I was trying to sleep. During the day, the discomfort was not as apparent, but I cut back some of my usual activities so I could spend as much time as possible praying and delving into the Bible and the writings of Mary Baker Eddy for healing truths.

At first I wondered what was causing these symptoms. However, Christian Science teaches us to not attribute a problem to a material cause. The spiritual fact is that God, good, the cause and creator of all that is real, did not create disease, so it has no cause and is therefore illegitimate. Disease is a false belief, an error that needs to be denied and replaced with spiritual Truth through prayer.
