Spiritual heights on Mount Kilimanjaro
Could my location alter the fact that Mind is in full control of every function of my life? Absolutely not.
I had the opportunity to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in 2022 with a friend and a small group of Tanzanian guides. Prior to this trip, I had enjoyed day hikes in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, mostly at elevations below 12,000 feet. A couple of days before starting this new hike, a friend pointed me to this verse from a hymn in the Christian Science Hymnal:
I climb, with joy, the heights of Mind,
To soar o’er time and space;
I yet shall know as I am known
And see Thee face to face.
Till time and space and fear are naught
My quest shall never cease,
Thy presence ever goes with me
And Thou dost give me peace.
