Discomfort in eye quickly healed

As a lifelong student of Christian Science, I wish to express my deep gratitude for its teachings. 

Some years ago, I awoke in the middle of the night with severe pain and discomfort in one eye, which was also watering profusely. As I lay in bed, ideas from a lecture on Christian Science that I had attended earlier that evening came to mind. For example, because man (the true identity of each of us) was created in the image and likeness of God, Spirit, I must be spiritual and perfect and could not experience anything to the contrary. 

Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy gives “the scientific statement of being,” which includes this statement: “All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all” (p. 468). Based on this spiritual fact, I reasoned that I must be perfect, painless, and whole—unable to manifest any condition that is unlike God, good, or that is unknown to this perfect Mind. Anything that was appearing as the opposite of this truth was an utter lie because it was not of God.
