Probation After Death

In the path of righteousness there is life,
in walking its path there is no death.

—New Revised Standard Version

Choosing a path in life is a prominent theme in Proverbs. Verse 4:26 counsels, “Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established,” and 11:5 has, “The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way.” A God-directed life, the writer declares, leads to immortality.
