Healed during church
I was introduced to Christian Science in 2006 and have been a member of the Christian Science society in Chandigarh, India, since 2010. I am so grateful to God for leading me to Christian Science, and for the many resulting blessings in all aspects of my life. Having taken Primary class instruction in Christian Science proved to be a great help during the challenging time all of us have been facing because of the coronavirus.
When the lockdown in India was announced at the end of March 2020, our church immediately responded with online Sunday services and testimony meetings. It was enriching to have the continuity of church activities, including having the same Readers, hearing music provided by the same soloist and organist, seeing each other online, and giving testimonies on Wednesday evenings.
I also participated in weekly teleconferences to pray for community issues. We felt so connected and loved through these activities. Our Reading Room librarian also frequently shared relevant articles from the Christian Science periodicals, which helped melt fear within a very short time. My son was in Delhi at that time, about a hundred and fifty miles away. As my thought was uplifted, I was able to uplift him and other family members, and we saw our needs met in unexpected ways.
