Respiratory ailment healed
I am most grateful that when we are persistent in Christian Science, we win the prize—healing. I had proof of this a couple of years ago after I came down with a cold that appeared to severely affect my lungs. Although I wasn’t coughing or sneezing, there was pain in my chest, and I had to sleep sitting up.
I took a break from work at this time and studied the Bible together with Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy for many hours each day. The chapter “Science of Being” in Science and Health was particularly helpful. On page 301 it states, “As God is substance and man is the divine image and likeness, man should wish for, and in reality has, only the substance of good, the substance of Spirit, not matter.”
I also took to heart Isaiah 41:10: “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
