I have found God’s abundant love
In 2014, on our family’s first Sunday after moving to the United States from China, we saw a building with a sign that said First Church of Christ, Scientist, so we stepped in. I didn’t understand much of the Lesson-Sermon (found in the Christian Science Quarterly) read during the service, but I enjoyed the music very much. And I knew they were reading Bible verses because I had attended a Bible study group for a year before leaving China.
The following few weeks I went to some other churches, but I didn’t feel they were a good fit for me. So eventually I came back to First Church of Christ, Scientist. I thought, If I want to become a believer, I’d better start with the Bible. I also felt very moved every time I heard the soloist’s singing.
Although I went back, I was still struggling. I couldn’t understand much of Christian Science, partly because my English was poor. One of the Readers was so nice to me. She invited us to her house, and we spent a wonderful Thanksgiving with her family. Because of her continuous love to me, I continued attending the church.
