Debilitating sickness quickly healed
One morning when my children were young, I woke up and found I could barely move. Without saying much, I asked my husband (who was not a Christian Scientist) to please get the kids ready and take them to day care, which he did.
I can hardly remember my thoughts at that time other than just wanting to make it to the phone to call a Christian Science practitioner to pray for me. The practitioner said she’d start praying immediately.
Although nothing had been diagnosed, I felt I was having some kind of internal problem. After I crawled back to my bedroom, my body began shaking uncontrollably. But I was not afraid, and I just tried to relax on the floor. Though I was conscious and not in pain, it seemed I was having some type of seizure. The thought that came clearly was “clad in the panoply of Love.” I didn’t even know the definition of the word panoply, but I lay there with the greatest sense of spiritual Love enveloping me and knew that healing was going on.
