Freed from flu symptoms
I’d like to give thanks for a recent healing that was evidence to me of God’s healing power.
I woke up one morning feeling run down, and the following day I began to suffer from flu symptoms. At lunch, soup seemed to be all I could manage to eat. When my husband said he felt the same way, this woke me up to the need to pray! I retired to a quiet spot, intending to pray, but at first felt that I was too weak to make the effort to fight against the symptoms.
Then it occurred to me that God was doing the healing, and I just needed to let divine Love do its work. My job was to stick to the truth about myself in my prayers and leave the battle to Him. The Bible says, “Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you” (II Chronicles 20:17). So in my prayers I continued affirming the truth that God is Spirit and that as the reflection of God, made in His image and likeness, I am spiritual and express divine Life’s activity, vitality, and energy. I could not be run down!
